Diet and Fertility

When starting your fertility journey, you may want to start a new diet to give your body the best chance of getting and staying pregnant. Diet is one of the most influential factors that can positively or negatively affect fertility. It’s essential for males and females, but specific diets are recommended for each gender. For example, citrus fruits are beneficial for males, whereas females should consume high-quality protein.

It is important to note that not all diets are healthy for reproductive health. In particular, some foods may be beneficial in general, but they may not be healthy for reproduction. For example, some people believe that eggs may be unhealthy for reproductive health because they contain high cholesterol and animal fat levels.

A lot of fertility nutritionists recommend the Mediterranean diet. The idea is to eat a rainbow of fruit and vegetables every day, but it does not restrict you from eating any foods. Everything just needs to be in moderation.
